Well, as the title so suggests, it is raining out today.   Also, the rain matches my mood, seeing as I have a math test tomorrow, and I am not nearly prepared for it .  Other than that, it has been a pretty good day.  I had a Helen Keller breakfast this morning, and I made biscuits from scratch (the breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, biscuits, fruit and tea.)  It was quite delicious.  After that, I practiced piano, and Dock, Jake, and I played Gamecube.  After that, we went to the Derby Shoppes, and then we came home, and here we are.  Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Auntie Lynn, although her birthday was yesterday , and another HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Auntie Boo, whose birthday is on the 26th.  And, on that note, my post ends here========>

Hey guys!  Currently, I am typing this on Dad's friend (Bart's) laptop.  We are visiting them this weekend.  The drive was very long, longer than usual, unfortunately.  We did stop for McDonalds along the way, and let me tell you, Chicken Selects are pretty good.  Of course we know that the fries are superb....LOL.   Anyway, now we're here, and are waiting for Dad and Jim to come back from the store so that we can get started wih our day.  I'll hope to see everyone soon!

Allie

P.S-  Dad and Jim finally got back...hehe.  Now I will go eat a bagel

I designed a house! A miniature one, that is...

  • What I am Reading: Nothing, currently...
Hola!  Today I have worked on finishing the shingling on my dollhouse and my dad helped me to remove a partition, in order to make the girl's room bigger   Her room will be pale pink, and the bed has a lace bedskirt and a powder blue comforter.  Her pillows will be pale pink, and the headboard will be white.  There will also be a little tea table with mini stuffed animals  sitting at it, and perhaps a desk or bookcase.  I also need an idea for a rug...I might make a sweet little pale pink one to match the walls  Also, I am going with my mom to a fabric store to get fabrics for the parents room, and perhaps even the kitchen and living room.  The parents' room will be painted blue, and there is a four poster bed to be covered in ivory satin sheets, a blue velvet coverlet ( with perhaps some silver embroidery) and a bedskirt to match the curtains.  The curtains will be sheers with perhaps some drapey siver ribbon on each side.  There will also be a chez longue (blue velvet) with an ivory satin pillow, and a fluffy white throw blanket ( knitted by yours truly)  I am at a loss for the rug choice, any ideas?  The family room will be painted a cranberry red, with an upright piano in it.  I will purchase o mini oriental rug or it, and I will also put in two armchairs, a little table, and perhaps another small chair.  There will also be a homemade stone fireplace   In the kitchen, it will be painted yellow with white and blue accents, and a small rug by the sink.  There will also be a small Victorian stove (did I tell you?  This is a Victorian dollhouse!) and a fireplace.A small tower is built off the house.  For the girls and parent's rooms, this will be a small bathroom.  For the kitchen, it will be a pantry.  I am planning on having the girl's bathroom be peach and grape themed, and the parents bathroom  seashore themed.  The pantry won't have a theme  On the top part of the dollhouse there will be a patio, mosaicked with a little patio table and chairs.  The outside will be painted a medium green, with dark and pale green accents.

Hello everyone!  I am just here to give a friendly reminder to all that we are in desperate need for ideas, images (Thank you Auntie Lynn, I am trying to use those somehow..) and witty titles for posts.  I am especially in need of better color ideas because the green is starting to annoy me  So, thanks in advance, and keep those ideas coming via email, posting (in a message, on the tagboard, or in the forum.  Also, I am currently on Auntie Christine's computer and the "more smilies" button doesn't appear to work all that well.

She's gonna blow!

This URL takes you to a webcam pointed at Mount St Helens.  She was smoking yesterday.  I think it's going to go off at any time!

AND ... here are some Pittsburgh webcams ... the Mt. Washington one seems to be offline:

A few more instructions ...

  • Mood:
To follow up on Allie's post, if you want to add a Main Topic (for people to see or respond to), go to www.bravejournal.com and login with the usercode/password that she emailed.   From there, go to the "Manage Your Journal" tab, and on the page that follows, select "Post New Entry".

The follow up comments are good too, although I'd like to figure out how to make all comments appear by default (I always forget to look for them!)

"This is an advanced class? LOOK ALIVE!"

  • Weather Dark and Rainy

Well, the title pretty much sums up my math class, so I won't bother describing math class..haha

Homeroom- Today was our first day of ChannelOne , the news station that they air in the morning at Middle and High Schools across the country.

Drama- In Drama, we mostly sat around and did homework or read , because Ms. Levy-Sisk's son threw up in daycare, and she had to go get him.

Chorus- We listened to the rest of the music for the Winter Concert, and did some sight-reading on "Canticle of Praise"  We also got the Junior Choral Spectrum speech, which I think I will go out for.  It is a select group of the 25 best singers in the 7th and 8th grade in Chorus, and they get to go to Faneuil Hall and stuff.

English-  We worked on Name Plates  .  We got a paper plate, and we had to creatively illustrate our name and things that interested us on it.  Then, for homework, we had to type a mini essay to go with it.

Science-  We actually had study instead today, because our science teacher had to go to the funeral of a highschool boy (who was my old neighbor) who died in a car crash.  Here is the article.

Lunch-  I ate lunch with my friend Diane, and my other friend Katina today.  They had cake today that you could buy for 50 cents, so I got some with my lunch (tacos!)

French-  French is probably my most favorite class.  My French name is Isabelle.  We are learning the alphabet, and I think that I am getting really good at it!  We also learned about Monsieur Accent, who is sad because people don't get their accents on the rigt letters.  M. Accent is a Sad face made out of all the accents.  It's kind of funny.

World Geography-  I was extremely bored, again.  We took notes.  Need I say more?

Math- As I said, the title pretty much sums up math class.  Since I have that last, we are all very sluggish.

Hey everyone!  Allie here, and today was my first day of school.  I have a pretty good grop of teachers, although Ms. Wonson (my world geography teacher) looks suspiciously like Olivia Spaulding from Guiding Light.  Freaky, huh?  Also, my English teacher is entirely too happy, but whatever.  There are too many sad people in this world.  My Science/Homeroom teacher, Mr. Hucheson, is very nice, and my Math teacher, Mrs. Green, is also quite nice.  All of them are very annoying when they make a big deal about how we are an advanced class.  Drama is, I have to say, one of my favorite classes.  Then again, I haven't done Family and Consumer Sciences yet.  More simply put, I haven't done Home Ec yet.  I hope to provide a regular school update, so stay posted!
